Coaching for the Extraordinary and Combination Programs
Every once in a while a challenge will come along that doesn’t quite fit into our usual programs. It may rely on a little more speed, part endurance, part adventure and part guts and toughness. Fortunately, our running coaches have seen a variety of requests and events and may even have experience in a kind of event you are dreaming of or already preparing for.
Specialty running programs can also include a season that might include bike racing, triathlon or adventure racing on the side or as a major component. Talk to one of our coaches about your goals and let’s see what we can do! Monthly training programs include daily workouts and regular contact with your personal coach. Exercises focus on form, speed, timing of recovery and everyday as well as event nutrition, using your coach’s expertise and experience to build a program that help you finish faster and more confidently.

Your coach will work with you to reach a peak for your major event, dialing in pre, during and post race nutrition and balancing your training load with sufficient recovery to send you to your event feeling fresh and ready to run. Each program can be adjusted to work with a real world schedule, including work, family and other commitments. Your coach can work in cross training as well as help you return from injury for a stronger performance. Off-season strength in the gym can also add to the program.
